Turning a vague product problem into a model the team can build on: who the users are, what the objects and states are, and which workflow actually matters.
About
I have spent twelve years making complicated products easier to use: regulated B2B software, fintech, esports, AI tools, mobile apps. I think in systems, design in Figma, and more and more I build in code, so I can test a decision in the thing that actually ships.
I started at ENKI, a digital agency in Ljubljana, on public-sector and commercial websites that picked up a few awards. Seven years at FirstBlood and Mana took me from UX/UI designer to Head of Design across an esports platform and a fintech app for gamers. Since then I have worked inside product teams as a lead or fractional designer: Syyclops (an AI digital twin for buildings), Based (a mobile trading app), and now BENS Consulting, where I am redesigning the Chemius compliance platform and building its design system.
I contract through my own studio, Vektor, in Ljubljana. That is how I have worked with product teams since 2014, and it is also where I build websites end to end. Baron is a side venture I founded and design; it is still being built.
Slovenian is my first language, English is the one I work in. Remote, with teams in the EU and the US. Open to a lead or senior product design role, full-time or contract.
How I work
Each case on this site says which of these I owned.
01
Turning a vague product problem into a model the team can build on: who the users are, what the objects and states are, and which workflow actually matters.
02
Tokens, components, patterns and rules, written down, so the team keeps the quality up when I am not in the room.
03
The screens themselves, for dense SaaS and for mobile, including the states nobody screenshots: empty, loading, half loaded, failed.
04
Prototypes and, where it makes sense, the real front end, so a decision gets tested in the thing that ships. AI writes a lot of the code. I set the rules and review it.
